Abstract

Global consumption of refinery offgas in 2010 was almost 35 million metric tons. World offgas consumption grew in 2010 by just 1.3%, and is expected to average growth of slightly less than 0.9% from 2010 to 2020.

North America was the largest consuming region in 2010 with almost 50% of total refinery offgas consumption, followed by Asia with almost 15%. The following pie chart shows world consumption of refinery offgas in 2010 by region.
