WP Report
Refinery Naphtha
This World Petrochemical (WP) report on Refinery Naphtha contains complete global and country supply/demand balances for the base year, the past five years and five and ten year projections for both light and heavy naphtha. The complete report including the analyses and supply/demand tables contains approximately 200 pages. There is also a table showing projected capacity additions for catalytic reforming, and crude units by producer, location, and (average daily) capacity of the increments, as well as a listing of total crude unit (base year) capacities by major global producers.

Abstract
Global production and consumption of refinery naphtha (light & heavy) in 2010 were each approximately 880 million metric tons. The current demand forecast assumes global growth of 4.9% in 2011 from 2010; consumption growth will average 2% per year from 2010 to 2020, with light naphtha growing slightly faster than heavy naphtha.
Just over half of the total refinery naphtha consumption in 2010 was for reforming, followed by feed to ethylene crackers with 20% of total consumption.
North America was the largest consuming region in 2010 with 26% of total refinery naphtha consumption, followed by Asia.
