Cumene
This World Petrochemical (WP) report on Cumene contains complete global and country supply/demand balances for the base year, the past five years and five and ten year projections. The complete report including the analyses and supply/demand tables contains approximately 100 pages. There is also a table showing all global producers, their locations, and capacities (current, historical and future) to produce Cumene, as well as capacities for derivative products.

Abstract
Global production and consumption of cumene in 2010 were estimated as 11.5 million metric tons each. Global capacity utilization was 80.4% in 2010, higher than in 2009. Cumene consumption is estimated to have increased by 8.3% in 2010 from 2009; it is expected to grow an average 4.4% per year from 2010 to 2015, and 2.4% per year from 2015 to 2020. Average global utilization rates are expected to gradually increase from the low 80s range to the mid-80s range by the end of the forecast period.
Phenol/acetone production accounted for almost all global cumene consumption in 2010. Another application for cumene is for propylene oxide (PO) via the hydro-peroxidation process.
