Economic Environment of the Chemical Industry This supplement to the Chemical Economics Handbook provides an overview of the economic environment in which the chemical industry is operating. The financial success (or failure) of chemical companies and the industry as a whole are greatly affected by the level of overall economic activity. The Economic Environment of the Chemical Industry (EECI) is a semiannual publication that presents indicators illustrating general economic conditions (historical, current and forecast) and current output levels of several U.S., Western European, and Japanese chemical end-use markets. Summary statistics for chemical industry capacity utilization, output, prices, and profits are also presented. For any questions or inquiries regarding the EECI, please contact Koon-Ling Ring. Subscribers to the web version of the CEH program may CLICK HERE to view
the latest release of the EECI online. The non-subscriber price is $1800. |
